Pours clear with random, lazy carbonation drifting upwards. It has a pale, golden straw color (SRM 2-3). Patchy lace forms on a pilsner glass.
The aroma is crisp with grain and dried wheat. Corn and water crackers follow. I found no spiciness or floral character; however light sourdough and hayloft aromas are obvious.
The flavor is similar to the aroma. It is crisp, with a mild, bitter bite in balance with sweetness. Sourdough carries forward with the grains and water cracker. It has a modestly dry finish that is mild and grassy.
A medium body and slick satin texture. Alcohol is undetectable. It has a light carbonation and a hint of astringency.
The label clearly states this is a 2022 limited edition. However, purchasing it from the brewery, I had expected that it was still within its prime. Any trepidation was unfounded, as it is a decent Pilsner. I would classify it in the lawnmower status, although better than what one usually associates with that moniker.
