also known as the Contessa. Hits the style. Malty side, higher carb. Fresh. On tap at the source. Ok in the style, though not superior in it. Drinkable.

On tap at Frequentem Brewing in Canandaigua, NY and from cans.
This one pours a golden clear yellow, with a fluffy head, and lots of lacing.
This smells like lemony and spicy hops, flowers, and nutty/biscuity malt.
This is just about spot on for the style, as expected. It’s super clean, with a crisp, spicy, and pleasantly bitter hop backbone. It’s definitely an elevated hop character compared to a more traditional German pilsner, but it’s “to style” as far as Italian pilsners go, and it works really well here.
This is light bodied, clean, crisp, and really drinkable. It drinks very well off a slow pour tap.
If you’re a lager fan, I feel like there’s basically no way that you won’t like this one.
