Fills a Simpli pilsner glass with gem clear pale straw (SRM 1-2). Occasional fine bubbles of lazy carbonation can be seen wandering upwards towards a two inch fluffy white head. The head casually reduces to nothing over several minutes.

Crisp clean grains greet the nose, while corn and cracked wheat follow. Also noted was light lemon zest and apple.

The flavor is clearly corn with mild bitterness. Water crackers are followed by subtle watercress or celery. It has a long modest finish. I'm not sure if I'm supposed to taste rice.

Unsurprisingly, this has a thin body and only the vaguest sensation of texture. A fine fizzy crackle of carbonation is the only real physical sensation. Alcohol is almost absent. It is mildly dry.

This is an easily sessionable and subtle beer. I enjoyed it while watching baseball on a hazy, hot and humid afternoon. I suspect it would work well with hot dogs.

On tap at Frequentem Brewing in Canandaigua, NY.

This one pours a very clean golden yellow color, with a small head, and lots of lacing.

This smells super crisp, with some toastiness, grassy hops, and crackery malt.

This is just about spot on. It’s got a wonderful toasty and crackery malt character, with a nicely spicy and grassy hop character, and a slightly minerally crispness on the back end.

This is light bodied, extremely clean and smooth, and really quite drinkable.

I really enjoy the slight rise in craft rice lagers I’ve been lately – this is a great example.

5 oz pour on tap at the brewery. Pours a light yellow. Perfect clarity. Small head. Aroma and flavor feature grainy malt, light sweetness, and a whiff of grassy/noble hops. Solid.
