On nitro tap at Frequentem’s Buffalo taproom.
This one pours a glossy dark black, with a small head, and lots of lacing.
This smells very roasty, with herbal hops, and dark chocolate.
I’m not surprised that Frequentem would nail this one, as they excel at employing a lot of flavor in lower ABV packages. It’s dry, crisp, and roasty, with a creamy chocolatey finish. It doesn’t taste as thin as some of the more typical versions of this style.
This is light bodied, but creamy, and not thin, with a great drinkability.
This is significantly better than most of the typical versions of this style that you might drink on St. Patrick’s Day.
