From the can, brewed in New Haven, CT, it pours a hazy dirty amber color with a modest white head that diminishes and leaves some lacing. The nose gets a heavy-ish scent of citrus - ok, but not world beating. The mouth follows with a citrusy malty brew that has a slightly dry aftertaste.

Cloudy, darker amber color. Moderate but lasting head. Excellent initial ring lace with near blankets appearing afterwards.

Prickly, grapefruit rind-like smell. Mild pale malt (dry) well in the background.

Similar to the smell the malt base is weak with the hop coming up quickly with a straight forward nondescript bitterness. Decent body with a lightly elevated level of carbonation. There’s a light sweetness blended with the bitterness in the aftertaste.

Poured from a can into a Belgian Tulip. Pebble pours a hazy golden-yellow with a modest head of white foam. The head has a great level of retention and leaves lots of dense lace.
The aroma is hoppy with a bit of mango and pineapple over malty sweetness.
The taste starts with fuzzy yet crisp burst of mango, orange, lemon, and pineapple followed by a modest crisp bitterness, guava juiciness and a bit of pine. As the taste advances the pineapple swells even more and is joined by a touch of lemongrass and malt. It finishes dry, leaving a nice citrusy and moderatly carbonated taste to linger on the tongue.
Mouthfeel of the brew is full bodied with a medium-high carbonation level, making a fantastically easy drinker for its elevated ABV. This is a very good pint. Cheers!

From a 16oz can, undated. Served in a spiegelau IPA glass.

Pours a lightly hazed straw-gold with an over-excited, over-flowing cloud of pouffy foam - I’m having a time trying to get enough liquid beer into my glass to taste.

Nose is sharp, harsh, grainy, solventy. Aroma of PineSol and lacquer thinner.

Tastes like urine so, skipping right over mouthfeel…

Drain pour. Bad can? Maybe. Date-stamp your cans.

Wow this is a good one. Sumptin about these simple can designs really draw me in. This really is a tropical wonderland like the can says. Pineapple, Agave, Melon, Banana, all that good stuff. And generously hoppy too. Im going to blame the Cashmere hops, I don't think I've tried any with those till now. Excellent IPA!

Poured into pint glass.
Pours a hazy pale yellow with modest head and dense lacing. Smells subtly of mango. Tastes mangoey-pineappley. Not outwardly hoppy like I'd expect from an Imperial, but still very pleasant. Light and crisp and dry. Very carbonated, appropriate for the mouthfeel. Unexpectedly high ABV given how incredibly easy to drink it is, and, y'know? Given two similar pleasant-but-not-fantastic beers, I will happily pick the one with the higher ABV nine times out of ten, and I don't care if that makes me a bad beer reviewer. A good beer overall.

Poured from can.
I closed my eyes to await the “tropical wonderland”, but instead was transported to my late grandmother’s dusty attic. This beer smells and tastes like an antique shop. (What is that? Mango? Yeast growing on old books in the back corner of the library?) Otherwise, i liked the mouthfeel, the lovely color and haze, but I can’t really figure it out.

Well they were not lying. It’s certainly fruity. It almost has a chalky candy taste to it, like one of the lolly pops that are hard powdered sugar or something. I can’t say it’s my favorite tasting beer and not at all what I was anticipating this to taste like. That being said, as the sun fades on a warm November afternoon, any beer will work. I’ve had worse.
