Pours a drab, matte amber color. Actually quite cloudy and almost fully opaque. Thick, several finger frothy off-white head forms on the beer. Aroma has notes of malts, some spicy hops and a touch of oak. Taste follows the nose with notes of malts, rustic bread and spicy, herbal hops along with some notes of oak and a hint of vanilla. Feel is light, crisp, easy drinking and smooth. Moderate carbonation.
Delicious Czech amber and an excellent first introduction to Origin beer Project.

This is one I've forgotten about in the back of my fridge for a few months, from my first trip to Origin back in June. There's no canning date, but I believe it was a fresh batch when I picked it up so I imagine it's not too old. Let's see what an oak foeder does to a Czech Amber Lager
Pours a mostly clear reddish amber with 2 fingers off creamy off white head that slowly fades to a thin cap and leaves decent lacing
The nose carries a subtle spice over a full malt base, with the oak adding a small but welcome accent. I'm picking up on aromas of biscuity malt, herbal hops, black pepper, toffee, orange zest, and light toasted oak
The oak sings a bit more in taste, but it's still standard fare otherwise. On the front end of the sip I'm tasting biscuity malt, black pepper, black tea, toasted oak, orange zest, dark bread, and floral hops. The swallow brings notes of herbal hops, black pepper, biscuity malt, pumpernickel toast, light oak, and light black tea
A medium body pairs with gentle tingling carbonation, resulting in a crisp beer. Finishes a tad sticky and watery but it doesn't kill the drinkability
It's nothing out of this world, but it's still a damn good attempt at the style. I would've liked to try it a little fresher but that's on me

16oz. can served in a willibecker. Pours a deep mahogany hue with a tight, quarter inch, light tan head. Nose is quite nice - subtle notes of fruit and toasty malts. Taste follows nose, albeit more malt forward with just a touch of sweetness and hops at the finish. Mouthfeel is light in body with an assertive carbonation. Overall, a nice Amber lager; however, I don't get much in terms of the oak foeder.
