This is another one from my most recent trip to Origin. I don’t typically love their Pale Ales though they do have some good ones, so I think it was worth the gamble on this one. Let’s crack it open and see what it’s all about
Pours a hazy pale yellow with 3 fingers of frothy off white head that slowly fades to a thincap and leaves decent lacing
The nose is bright but gentle simultaneously. I’m picking up on aromas of overripe cantaloupe, lime zest, bready malt, kiwi, floral hops, sweet honey, dehydrated strawberry, and cereal grain
It’s more of the same in taste though with a bit more of a bite to it. On the front end of the sip I’m tasting underripe cantaloupe, doughy malt, papaya, lime zest, honey, floral hops, and light strawberry. The swallow brings notes of white pepper, crackery malt, underripe cantaloupe, floral hops, strawberry, light grass, and lime zest
A medium body pairs with gentle tingling carbonation, resulting in a crisp beer. Finishes bone dry and refreshing
This is definitely one of their best Pale Ales to date. Gentle and crushable yet still flavorful
