No can date
Pours a foamy fizzy 2 finger off-white head with moderate retention, a bit of lacing, dark mahogany to chestnut color with only a hint of light coming through
Nose grainy toasted biscuity malts, cereal and bread crust, some coffee and a bit of chocolate, a little caramel toffee, some dark fruits, light spicy hops, getting more coffee and cream with some cocoa as it warms
Taste starts with some roasted malt notes, not a ton of roast but enough, coffee and cream into some cocoa and chocolate, a bit of creamy milk chocolate, biscuity grainy malts and some bread crust, a bit of sweet bread with some caramel and toffee and a bit nutty, not too sweet just sweet flavors, then some yeasty notes with raw bread dough, hint of dark fruits, into spicy hops with med-lighter bitterness, dry finish brings a med-high spicy hop bitterness
Mouth is med bod, a bit creamy, med carb
Overall OK, it has some of the nice malt characters but they seem a bit muted and the yeasty note plays weird off of it, the hops are nice, but in general still a decent Czech dark lager
