Four Fingers Brewing Co. "Jack Juice NEIPA"
$7/pint at the brewery on 13 April 2024
Look: Cloudy gold body beneath a creamy head of white. Good head retention and lacing.
Smell: Clean. Citrusy, otherwise tropical fruity, and resinous in the nose over a sweetish, grainy, and lightly oaty malt base.
Taste: The flavor follows the aroma. Sweetish with hoppy notes of berries and peach. Firmly bitter and resinous in the finish.
Feel: Medium bodied, gently crisp, and then smooth due to all of the residual proteins.
Overall: A nicely hoppy, well-brewed and very well-balanced New England style IPA that's more on the sweeter, juicy and fruity side but still with enough bitterness to keep it in check. Worth seeking out if you're in the area.
