On cask, with Magnum hops, at Faircraft Brauhaus in Fairport, NY.
This one pours a golden amber color, with a small head, and a little bit of lacing.
This smells like floral hops, bready malt, lemon, and some caramel.
I love that a local brewery has a cask on every so often – this one works well, as you’d kind of expect for a Vienna lager. It’s lightly hoppy, with some citrus and floral bitterness, and a nice bready note running through the whole thing.
This is light bodied, crisp, clean, and very drinkable.
Faircraft has pretty quickly jumped up to be one my favorite local breweries. They are old school and doing it well.
