Clear amber color with a fluffy white foam; light toasty malt aromatics; bready malt flavor with a touch of caramel; malt is not cloying but balanced with a moderate hop note, leaving you wanting another sip to experience this style that was the original Oktoberfest beer.

Crowler purchased from Faircraft Brauhaus in Fairport, NY.
This one pours a light amber color, with a small head, and lots of lacing.
This smells lightly toasty, but not much else.
I really wanted to like this one more, as Faircraft occasionally pulls out some brilliance. There’s some caramel and toastiness, but not enough balancing bitterness to handle the sweetness. I saw this on cask when I was picking up the crowler – I wonder if that would have been a superior way of dispensing this.
This is medium bodied, not quite crisp enough, with a decent drinkability.
I enjoyed this but wanted a lot more out of it.
