Foreteller is a black lager brewed with soft water, German malt & hops, time, and our beloved, all seeing lager yeast. A base of pilsner malt sets the stage for a sprinkling of various highly kilned, and roasted, specialty malts. The combination of these raw materials yield a beer that is black in color, with tinges of ruby red around the edges of your glass, and flavors + aromas of baking chocolate, smoke, and a hint of cola. Just like a premonition, these all vanish quickly, and yield to a dry finish that keeps your face in your glass.

Pours a very dark but clear brown with abundant beige foam in the big wheat beer glass. Quite lush with lovely creamy carbonation in the mouth. Aromatic cereal with a whiff of hops. Warm malt with a tangy scorched finish. Quite drinkable with the inviting combination of sweet malt and dark roasted grain. But clean and lively with toffee mingling with the burnt sugar. One of the better examples of a black lager that I've tasted. From the 16 oz can purchased at O'Shea's.

Poured on tap at Windsor in Anaheim. Pours very dark brown with a couple of inches of off-white head. The nose is great. Smoke, malts, oak, tobacco, and leather. The taste follows the nose, with lots of smoke and wood. Mouthfeel is medium bodied and dry. Great beer!

Straight up from a Czech style side pour, but Raul is not feeling sideways. I am upright and alive like Frankenstein after popping a Viagra. It’s just good. And there. Like Raul on Valentine’s Day… or any day for that matter.
Raul loves you, my children.
