Mission In the Dark

Pours a very dark brown that nears on black. Head is two fingers of khaki foam. Aroma is toasty, nutty, bready, and caramely malts with mild grassy and spicy hops. Flavor profile is malt forward, hitting bready, toasty, crackery, wafery, and nutty malts. There is a special emphasis on the bready malts. Caramel mixes with mild grassy, spicy, and zesty hop notes. It features a good shift of balance from malt at onset to hops at finish, but is still malt dominate (positive.) Mouth feel is medium-thin with a smooth, near glassy, texture. Overall, refreshing with dark malt qualities. Easy drinking.
