I tried this beer at the brewery as part of a four sample fight whilst in Dayton for my Bestie's 50th Birthday celebration. It poured a nearly opaque dark amber with tan head that did not leave much lace. The scent had bold malt base with subtle dark chocolate and roast highlights. The taste was nicely balanced and easy to drink with sweet malt presence and roast and dark chocolate flare. The mouthfeel was medium in body with subtle carbonation. Overall it is a great beer.
