A highly hopped beer with hints of orange blossom aroma with citrus and tropical notes. The high hop notes with a moderate dry finish provides an aftertaste of both malt and hops. The mouthfeel is medium and well-rounded to unwind with citrusy and tropical hop notes. The beer is a throwback to the days when beer was transported to India. It’s a beer that’ll spur your imagination.

A: Pours a clear medium golden amber in color with moderate amounts of active visible carbonation rising from the bottom of the glass and moderate bright yellow + golden yellow + honey + copper colored highlights. The beer has a three finger tall dense creamy foamy tan head that slowly reduces to a medium to large sized patch of thick film covering a little more than 45% of the surface of the beer surrounded by a large patch of mottled very thin film covering the remainder of the surface of the beer and a medium thick ring at the edges of the glass. Moderate to significant amounts of lacing are observed.

S: Slightly stronger than moderate aromas of citrus/grapefruit + citrus/grapefruit pith + tropical/pineapple + pine hops over the top of moderate aromas of toasted + bready + caramel malts with a light amount of caramel sweetness.

T: Upfront there are moderate flavors of toasted + bready + caramel malts with a light amount of caramel sweetness. That is followed by moderate to strong flavors of citrus/grapefruit + citrus/grapefruit pith + tropical/pineapple + pine hops which impart a moderate amount of aggressive lingering bitterness.

M: Medium bodied with moderate amounts of carbonation. Slightly crisp initially with a light amount of dryness in the finish.

O: Easy to drink with well hidden alcohol and a pleasantly crisp + dry mouthfeel with the wanted (at least by me) aggressive bitterness of an old school style IPA. Enjoyable with a rather classic hop profile from the yesteryears of IPAs but I’ll gladly take it.
