This pale lager is a glimmering yellow color with vibrant elements of citrus and hops. Balanced by a crisp finish, a quintessential example of the Export style.

Poured from a can into a pilsner glass.
Look: Straw color. Clear. Very thin head. Poor head retention. Lacing could be better.
Smell: Not a particularly strong aroma. A little funky and a touch sweet. Citrus.
Taste: Mellow. Maybe a little bready. Citrus.
Feel: Light-Medium bodied with moderate carbonation.
Overall: This would go great with some pizza or something.

Pours a nice clear golden color with a medium-large head. Aroma is typical German lager, slightly sweet, malty, & hops, as is taste. Very good beer. BOD 4-1-2025

Name: Export
Brewery: Eschenbacher Privatbrauerei
Location: Eltmann, Germany
Style: Helles
ABV: 5.2%
Canned: 04 January 2025
Date: 18 November 2025
Another Helles from the box; they've been good thus far, nothing stellar. I am using a Belcher glass and serving the beer at 44 degrees. The pour created a frothy, creamy two-fingered, white head with stellar retention. The slow dissipation left lacing chunks on the glass. The color is golden with light straw-yellow hues; the clarity is hazy, and charts at SRM 4. The beer's appearance is average for this style.
Nosing the beer, I detect notes of grains, lightly toasted malts, floral bouquet, grassy notes, and grainy sweetness.
The flavors are floral, grassy, grainy, white pepper, light herbal, lightly toasted malts, and a grainy sweetness.
The mouthfeel is slightly astringent, finishing crisp and dry. The body is light and medium-plus-carbonation.
Final Thought: An enjoyable export/Helles, it has more hops than the last couple of Helles that I tried. I enjoyed the crisp dryness. I would not mind finding a few of these to drink in the summer.

Eschenbacher Privatbrauerei "Eschenbacher Export"
500 ml can coded "P: 20/05/2025 E: 20/11/2026 07:52:21 22". Sampled on 23/10/2025
$59.99 / 24 can case - Costco's Biergarten Collection, Costco, Christiana, DE
Notes via stream of consciousness: First just a simple note that this was canned by Privatbrauerei Eibau. That's common in Europe, so no problem. It's poured a crystal clear deep golden body beneath a finger's width of creamy white foam that seems to be holding well. The aroma is grainy, lightly sweetish, and mildly spicy and herbal. Based on my previous tastings of the Eschenbacher beers they don't seem to like to use a lot of aroma hops. The taste reveals more hop character atop a similar maltiness. It's got a soft citrus side to it, and less herbal character but the delicate spiciness remains. I was absolutely not expecting this from an "export" beer. I should also note that although it is an "export" beer the label states that they've followed the Reinheitsgebot so there's no adjunct in use. The bitterness is moderate, just enough to balance the sweetish malt, and I wasn't expecting that of an "export" either, but of course I'm thinking of beers from Dortmund in the north. It's 5.2% ABV, so just a little bit stronger than your usual beer, but that's usually the case. In the mouth it's medium bodied and gently crisp. I like it, and I drank it much quicker than I usually do while writing a review although I still have about three ounces left. Nicely done.

Medium gold pour with slight haze, smalk white head. Nose is malt and faint sweet citrus.
Taste shows light kilned malt, mild lemon custard, grassiness. Light to medium mouthfeel. Finish dries somewhat but sweet malt and citrus is still in the drivers seat.

From the pint can in the 2025 Biergarten Collection from Costco, it pours a clear light golden amber color with a nice white head that slowly reduces and leaves lacing. The nose gets a slightly sweet scent of malt - overall pleasant. The mouth follows with a sweetish, malty, brew with a small hopbite that drinks easily.

Lovely golden amber brew with abundant foam in the Maredsous goblet. Mouthfeel is creamy and lush. The label says "Export Premium" but this has all the sweetness of a Helles and virtually none of the hop character of a Dortmunder or even a Märzen. There is a slight vegetal note in the finish but no bitterness to speak of or other evidence of hops. This is a malty big gulp and nicely flavored in the cereal-bread vein. From the 500 ml can.

From a 500ml can. 5.2 abv, canned 90 days ago.
Look: clear golden. Little head, dissipates quickly.
Smell: tasty malt, faint hops
Taste: delicious malt, light hops, not enough so i could guess at variety
Feel: session bier. Restrained carbonation, light but not watery.
I would buy this again.
