Poured from the bottle into a wheat ale glass. Hoping to dodge skunkaroo!
Pretty much looking like a hefe here, real nice light bodied amber lemon color. Touch of mild unfiltery looking haze, and some ample carbonation. Very big fluffy white and foamy classic head, eggshell whip looking appearance too. Yup this looks like a hefe, and stand three fingers with pretty simple retention.
Aroma has dodged the skunk monster of green bottle lore luckily, and we are left with some slight oddities. Hints a faint lemon but comes with a very kind of chemical like sourness strangely. Minimal tangy presence of lemon and not much wheaty chewy malt character or big fruitier estery quality.
First sip brings some real shocking surprises. This has got to be easily the weakest mouthfeel on a hefe I have ever had. Mineral water like body, I am not kidding, where's the malty chewy wheat? Palate manages a faint hint of banana to clove like character to bring it back. Lots of big mineral and watery flavors that mix in, hinting touches of more classic flavors. Finishes quite gaseous.
A hefe for sure but a real odd one, that lacks an extreme amount of body and depth. Drinkable, but very forgettable, almost a slamming cheap hefe you don't want to think about too much.

Acquired @ a Russian grocery store in Fairfax, VA. Scent reminded me Grolsch. Mine was cloudy, which causes me no grief. Taste was sweet, and was an excellent beer from top to bottom, with no variation in taste due to time or temperature. Two thumbs up!

Most of this brewery’s output is pale lager, so for a weizen, it’s got a lot of lager characters in smell and taste. Also there was no sediment, it’s as clear as day, so it might be closer to a kristalweizen. Some weizen flavors comethrough in traces, but if blind tasted, I would put this in the lager family, or much closer to a wheat ale.

A: The beer is slightly hazy light yellow in color and has a moderate to high amount of visible carbonation. It poured with a finger high bright white head that died down but has good retention properties and never completely faded away.
S: Light to moderate aromas of sweet bananas are present in the nose—similar what you get from a banana Starburst.
T: The taste also has flavors of bananas—but there are also strong notes of wheat—which cancel out any bits of sweetness.
M: It feels light- to medium-bodied on the palate and has a moderate amount of carbonation.
O: This beer is refreshing and easy to drink but seems like it is missing some complexity in the form of cloves.

First really hot day of the year, first Hefeweizen of the year.
500 ml bottle. Stored in fridge.
Pours a cloudy bright yellow. Solid carbonation. Had a raging white head that just diminished immediately. Pleasant wheaty lemon aroma, fairly mild. Not like the smell of a German Hefe at all.
First sip is refreshing. Smoothness is spot on, but the body is a touch thin for a Wheat beer. I think this has adjuncts which explains the odd sweetness and thin body. Flavor is a bit watery. Wheat flavor is nice. There is a lemon character happening, like a Berliner but not sour. Pretty good beer. Tough competing against the German wheat beers.

A: Semicloudy, just a bit more yellowy gold than your average German pilsner, 4 finger head that looks like whipping cream. Thick even lacing.
S: Indistinguishable from a German hefeweizen. Very Banana-y yeast, punches open your sinuses. Semisweet. There is a new sneaker smell to it as well.
T: Slightly sour, lemon rind, artificial vanilla. Not the best of beers.
M: Somewhat soft, little carbonation.
O: Subpar

Poured from a .5L green bottle, but there's no skunk. It's hazy gold with a short white head. I'd certainly call this a hefeweizen, not an American pale ale. It's not as strong as most German weizens, but there's a clear spicy cream character.
The aroma has orange creamsicle with hints of wheat cracker. The flavor is relatively light with sweet orange peel, wheat bread and crust. There's no hop character, but enough bitterness to balance out the sweet wheat. All in all, a tasty and respectable hefe.

A: 1 Pint/ 500ml bottle. 1 fat finger head, lasted several minutes, light lacing, since unfiltered very cloudy comparable to light colored apple cider
S: Heavy strong wheat plus sweetness aroma, almost earthy. Some citrus
T/M: Served cold had heavy body, filmy almost. Very strong sweet aftertaste, high carbonation. alcohol is unnoticeable.
D: Overall average sweet beer, with warmth it got worse.

Pours a cloudy gold with a bright crème head. Nose is yeasty and citrusy. Flavor is lighter than I would have thought with a mild citrus presence and an almost earthy tar like character as well. Feel is nice with tiny bubbles dancing over your tongue and a good overall effervescence. Definitely drinkable, but would never go down as the all time greatest hefe ever made.

Thanks go to Mike for picking this up for me on the Ukraine-Poland border.
A - Pale opaque medium orange color. Fluffy white head retains well at about a quarter inch.
S - Sweet and spicy yeast with nice citrusy orange aromas, also some musty earthy wheats.
T/M - Clean with a sharp carbonation bite. Taste is a slightly sweet yeasty flavor but isn't strong enough and seems to be drowned out by the carbonation. The carbonation fades and were left with a lasting earth yeasty flavor.
D - Overall this beer compares well with typical German hefe's, taste is a little weak though. Still very easy drinking.

16 oz green bottle. No date stamp.
Hazy dirty orange with a large head.
Banana bread and spicy clove aromas.
Flavor is wheaty and a touch lemony at the start, fruity and spicy towards the middle, and finishes dry.
I was pleasantly surprised with this beer.
