To celebrate the 200th brew and our 2nd anniversary in Mauguio as it should be, we wanted to release not 1 stout, but 2! So we divided the brew into 2 small vats to make different finishes, both inspired by desserts we love. "Tiramisu d'Occitanie" does not go without its alter ego: "Canelé de Mauguio".

The "Tiramisu d'Occitanie" version is inspired, we give it to you in thousands, tiramisu. We put the stout base in our hopgun with a blend of Brazilian coffee, whole beans, freshly roasted by Café Bun (an artisanal roaster in Montpellier), cocoa nibs infused in rum, roasted almonds and Amaretto liqueur.

This beer has an ultra-syrupy and oily texture, with intense notes of dark chocolate on a backbone of roasted aromas. Flavors of almonds brought by roasted almonds and amaretto liqueur make this a particularly mesmerizing IS.

33 cL can, poured at room temp into a taster’s snifter. Low head on top of slick black brew.
The aroma is slam bam almond Amaretto, followed by a super dark chocolate coveredcoffee bean waft, vanilla, plum.
Tastes great! The adjuncts work in harmony with a fine base Stout. I have no opinion of the brewer mixing actual Ameretto liquor in the Stout. It’s cocktail worthy, and there are No Rules in craft brewing. Sticky sweet finish, festive alcohol burn.
Mouth is thick and oily. Low carbonation.
Overall, a delicious, messed-with Imperial Stout, worthy of sipping on.
