Frederiksberg 29/12 2025. 40 cl at Bootleggers Craft Beer Bar, Frederiksberg Allé, Frb. C.
Pours opaque dark brown with a small dense beige head. Stable. Settles as a thin patchy layer of foam unable of covering the surface of the beer. Substantial lacing.
Aroma is medium intense. Gets stronger as the beer warms up. Sweet dark malts mingling with dark and bitter chocolate. Dark roasted malts, brown sugar, raisins and toffee. Dark chocolate and cocoa.
Light carbonation. Thick, oily, viscous, fat, almost flat texture. A little sticky.
Flavor is intense with a strong sweetness followed by a moderately strong bitterness. Aftertaste is sweet with a noticeable touch of alcohol. Lingering. Finish is semi-dry and boozy.
Never turn your back on a cocoa bean!
