It doesn’t take a Chucklehead to know that Brooklyn changed the beer game. Quite simply, this Double IPA inspired by one of the greatest breweries in the world is BIG, beautiful and loaded with two incredible hops, Galaxy and Azacca. We felt like Azacca would pair with Galaxy in a beautiful way by bringing the passion fruit and ripe mango characters to match with the citrus and slight pine of Azacca. Even if you are a Chucklehead or oddly silent yet profound, you will know this 8.2% double dry hopped DIPA is crushable enough to start contemplating what’s really in this, man… Have fun with the can, we sure did coming up with this bizarre Alternate Ending.

LOOK: darkish yellow color, maximum hazy, medium eggshell head, excellent retention with a lot of swirling mixation and foamy legs.

AROMA: oaty with a good dose of tropical fruit-mostly mango and pineapple. some notes of grass and palm. Maybe a touch of citrus.

TASTE: guava, mango, passion fruit, grass, leaves. Little touch of hairspray in finish, but the sweetness counteracts well enough.

FEEL: medium body, creamy, a touch of juicy acid, but otherwise super smooth. sneaky good carbonation. there is a touch of warming alcohol in the finish, which could be a positive or negative depending on your mood; I kind of like it as it is rare in the IPA styles.

Very tasty and well crafted. Excited to try more from Alternate Ending. Some good stuff here, though not perfect. I'm sure most of the positives are from the Mosaic and the negatives from Sabro, though I'm not sure I've had this combo before, so maybe the mosaic is the perfect guise to cover up sabro's deficiencies.
