Reddish brown body with little clarity, cream colored full head and crowned lacing. Big toast leads the nose with earthy and herbal hops with minor malts. Taste has the earthy and herbal hops atop toast and grain, attempted to be swallowed up by caramel malts but ultimately the bitterness endures. Hoppy, yeasty, and somewhat watery in the maltwork

Color is copper. But the malt is not as dominant as I would expect in a marzen. Not a bad beer but not a great marzen.
Maybe I have an older beer as the lacing is not as good as others have described.

Good Marzen, malty and robust with some nice bitterness too. Poured from a 16 oz. can into a 12 oz. mug, this beer featured a beautiful clear copper color and a medium sized off-white head. Good head retention and some thin bands of lacing on the glass. Aroma and taste are malt forward - mostly bready malt but with a touch of caramel too. the bitterness level is on the high side for a Marzen but still takes a back seat to the rich maltiness. Mouthfeel is crisp and medium bodied with the bitterness level just right. Very enjoyable!!!

I like the horror movie theme can artwork. The pour is copper colored with a moderate amount of carbonation. The taste is caramel, grains, & a touch of hops. Cheers! B

Take Off, eh? Can (Horked from jdq2) to snifter. No mouse found.

LOOK: light amber, opaque, medium eggshell head. Good retention.

AROMA: cereal, barley, mineral. Pretty clean.

TASTE: cracker/biscuit/malt, touch of sweetness.

FEEL: light to medium body, ok carbonation

Not bad. An impressive Homage to the classic, but retired, Elsinore brew.

Pours a relatively clear amber, brief 1" head that tapers to a solid cap, light lacing. Nose is a little grainy and malty, light sweetness, a trace of alcohol; bit of corn as it warms. Taste is equally as solid if nondescript; mild caramel sweetness, earthy hops, and a touch of warming baking spice. Feel is soft with full carbonation. Didn't blow me out of the water, but I found this really drinkable and could see myself having a few of these. Definitely worth another shot.

a: murky dark amber color with some foggy orange notes and a 2 finger tan head that looks pretty solid

s: lots of lemongrass and grains. faint caramel and crusty bread. a hint of cardboard and grass

t: grassy and grainy. some lemongrass and generic earthy hops as well behind that. crusty, bready malt notes follow. a very faint citrus note as well

m: lighter side of medium with moderate carbonation

o: falls short for a märzen for me. the caramel notes don't exist in the flavor and it's a bit too light as well

1st Review on BA.
Wow! How does a near Jersey Shore town develop such an authentic, good looking, tasking Marzen? Oh Love it!
a) Deep amber sporting very creamy off white lasting, slashing head, of the the best pours into a tulip of the year.
s) Malty, toasty, bready with lemony back hops and yeast.
t) Soft like it looks, creamy bread, brown and crusty bread, wheat loft.
f) Creamy, elegant, unique lemon-bread marzen finish that cleans up so nicely.
o) Nice recipe - best American Marzen?
