Oompa Loompa doom-pa-dee-dee. If you are wise, you'll listen to me. What do you get when you guzzle down sweets? You get an 11.7% Imperial Oatmeal Stout conditioned on a lot of cacao nibs, some graham crackers and little bit of marshmallow.

On draught at the brewery. It pours a deep walnut color - almost black - with a modest, creamy, light mocha head and minimal lacing. The aroma is strong and sweet with milk chocolate, caramel, and graham cracker. Its taste follows the nose with lots of chocolate but it's less sweet than I anticipated based on the smell. There is also a sweet graham cracker malt base and hints of nutty char and dark fruit. This Stout has a thick, chewy mouth feel like motor oil with lite carbonation, and the 11.7% ABV is noticeable and warming. Overall, Gloop (great name, by the way; named for Augustus Gloop, perhaps?) is a solid Imperial Oatmeal Stout although it's not really polished. With some more care and experience it could be something special.
