Belgian Golden mixed culture sour ale, aged for 26 months in Barnett Vineyards Cabernet barrels. She was then aged on peaches and toasted cardamom and bottle conditioned with Brettanomyces.
This beautiful beer was a collaboration between our
brewers and Sous Chef Brad. Brad named this beer
after his wife, Melissa. He said, "First chance I had
to commemorate her in our women-of-music series, I
went right for it." It helped that the song "Melissa" was
from the Allman Brothers Band album "Eat a Peach." Brad said that after trying the barrels with the brewers in the back, he knew that it would blend perfectly with the nuance of flavors that came with the inspiration.
