Collaboration with Conclave Brewing, Icarus Brewing, Twin Elephant Brewing Company, Oakflower Brewing Company
It wouldn’t be a 5-year celebration without something epic, and this one is straight out of the movies. The 5th Element brings together four of our closest brewery friends and us, each representing their element with a single hop:
Conclave: Nelson
Icarus: Taiheke
Oakflower: Riwaka
Twin Elephant: Estate Comet
And of course, Alternate Ending steps in as the Fifth Element—bringing balance to the universe (and the beer) with Pacific Sunrise. The result? A cosmic fusion of tropical bursts, white wine zing, citrusy brightness, and a comet-trail of dank fruitiness. A hazy double IPA that’s as over-the-top and unforgettable as the film itself.

Acquired two 16 oz cans at a beer festival in Greenville, SC on 11-8-25. Canned on 02OCT2025; consumed 12-19-25. Cold stored since acquisition.
Beer poured hazy golden orange with a gorgeous white head with the original pour.
Nose is a subtle but inviting mix of citrus, tropical, and vinous notes.
Taste is subtle as well as the medium pale malt base works very well with each brewer's hops. I am getting white wine, tangerine, peach, and passion fruit. Getting ever so slight hints of onion and garlic in post sip aspirations thanks to my palate's nemesis Riwaka. Finishes perfectly balanced with a slant towards some rind bitterness; 6/10 on my scale.
Mouthfeel is medium bodied and smooth.
Overall, this is one of the better IPA collabs i have had in my long beer advocate career!
