16 fl oz. can, Batch 007, canned 12/15/22. These just arrived at the local beer spot, and of course I had to try out a new Pale Ale. My first beer from Azadi Brewing Company, a Chicago-Indian brewery. "Brewed & Packaged by Pilot Project Brewing" according to the label. Beer review 2100 for me.
Poured to a Piraat snifter.
Body is a crisp, honeyed golden orange. One finger of wispy white bubbles that leave some ok soapy lacing on the glass. Looks fresh, well carbonated, and befitting of the style.
Good balance between golden biscuity maltiness, and earthy herbal hoppiness. Smells fresh, lightly pithy, with notes of lemon & tangerine. Floral, fresh, & soapy.
Again, excellent balance on display here, considering they did use some pretty piney and resinous hop varieties (Columbus, Centennial, Cascade). Not overly bitter.
Feel is super smooth, crisp, clean, with light hop bitterness on the finish.
Overall, super delicious & drinkable. I love a good pale ale, and this was a wonderful introductory beer to me from this brewery.
