I tried this beer, one off the tapper at the brewery as part of a five sample flight. It poured a clear amber with very thin white head that left a spotty lace. The scent had subtle sweet malt notes. The taste was nicely balanced and easy to drink. There was light malt base with barley and grain presence. The mouthfeel was lighter in body with good carbonation. Overall it is a great beer.

Perfectly gorgeous color, a deep red-amber or auburn you might call it. Plenty of foam in the Leute Bokbier glass. Quite rich in the mouth and making me feel like the Christmas ales are arriving. It's sort of a Winter Warmer in the English tradition. Aromas of nuts and burnt sugar with modest hoppy herbal notes.
Rich flavors, rather sweet and caramel tasting. Moderate hops, big on the malt, loads of roasted grain. Brewed with "7 different malts" according to the label. Certainly at the other end of the spectrum from the resiny-bitter Amber Ales. Highly sippable and recommended for the holiday season to go with your HIbernation Ale. From the 16 oz can shipped from City Beer in Frisco.
