I tried this beer off the nitro tapper at the Brewery as part of a five sample flight. It poured an opaque dark with khaki head that left a spotty lace. The scent had good dark chocolate and roast notes. The taste was nicely balanced and easy to sip. There was dark chocolate, roast, and very subtle star anise presence. The mouthfeel was medium in body with nitro smooth carbonation. Overall it is a solid beer.
