Contract brewed by Hermitage Brewing in San Jose according to the label. Supporting a local brew from the well-stocked shelves of Flask in Highland Park. Translucent copper colored beer with a rapidly dissipating head poured into a snifter type glass. Belgian yeast dominates the nose with fruity esters and floral/eucalyptus notes. Get some orange-y citrus as well, but the yeast is dominating the hops here. On the tongue bitter orange follows, with hints of caramel at the back end. Considerable bitterness on the finish as befits the IPA category, but carbonation is on the lower side. Price point is high ($17/4pack).

I personally enjoy the blend of west coast IPA and belgian brewing tradition, and the 7.5% abv warms on these "cold" LA nights. At $4+ per can this can't be a regular purchase but I wouldn't turn one down.
