Appearance is glossy used motor oil black with some filmy lipid residue killing off the burnt mocha head's brief appearance. The shitty part about this bottle is that the wax took me a bare minimum of 15 minutes to cut through using several different tools--it was as if solid, heavy duty plastic.
While the viscously thick body is a little overly expansive in carbonation, it's better than the Pacific Porpoise we had before it, with a nice char and a uniquely dark fruit-tinged toasted coconut that makes for a more mature and less juvenilely decadent pastry stout.
