Oily black with a beautifully dark mocha foam head that builds well and curls at the edges despite the onslaught of coconut lipids that are surely underneath.
Having a generous taster of this only a few pours after Pulpit Rock's BA Cake Walk at DLD 2023--and I can't believe what I'm about to say--this is perhaps even more enjoyable than Iowa's latest dolphin whale. This thick af coconut showcase features both toasted and pastry cream expressions, perhaps thanks to contributions from hefty barrel vanillins, all woven together by a decadently dark chocolate malt.
Hands down the best CLAG stout I've had, by leaps and bounds.
