Dark brown, nearing black, with a silky fluid surface.
Burnt sugar bananas Foster clash with a touch of old life in the middle, though skirting shy of caramel or pine pungency, while still darker and sweeter than the American vein.
A bit confounding, its darkness eschews barleywine characteristics, but also avoids stout in execution, to this palate.
