Standard, but watery, tad sourish weizen. All necessary characteristics are in place - head, spiciness, refreshing qualities. Enjoyable, but without inspiration.

An excellent offering from the Brauerei that gave me my first taste of true German Bier. Years back, my uncle brought back from Germany a few bottles from Irlbacher, and I was hooked for life. This one was no different. Nice presentation out of the bottle with a thick, robust head, decent sediment gravitating throughout. Aromas of fresh cut wheat, banana, clove and perhaps some faint notes of citrusy esthers. Smooth on the palate, this was one delicious brew. A great pairing with ein par Weisswurst und ein Brez'n...
