Brewed at Rutland Beer Works in Rutland, VT..
Canned on 12/23/24.
Moderate pour yields a one inch white head over a cloudy orange body with sticky lacing.
Nose of tropical fruit (melon, peach) and citrus (lemon, lime, tangerine.)
Taste mirrors nose very closely. Taste is a bit sweet with slightly bitter finish of peach pit and citrus pith. As it warms there are hints of pineapple, blueberry, and bubblegum!
Very full mouthfeel with near medium carbonation.
Overall, a quite tasty IPA worth seeking out.
Cheers!

My general rule for IPA is, no canning date, no sale, but my attraction to Cashmere hops forced my hand, and was happy to read on the label that the brewers have a great fondness for Cashmere hops as well. This is a big for a single IPA, and the Cashmere is prominent, but not overpowering. Never had Idaho Gem hops before, but the Mosaic is quite subtle here. I seemed to have lucked out on freshness with these cans (Mt Holly Brewery cans on both sides of Mixed Greens were date stamped within a month, a little puzzled why no canning date). As this warms, the aromas of the Cashmere become more prominent, as does the flavor: def the dominant hop in the mix, which is a win for me. Impressive body, and mouthfeel for a single IPA, slightly chewy. Very much worth trying, especially if Cashmere hops are your bag.
