Purchased at Franky Getrankemarkt in Hilpolstein in September 2023 and drunk at Camping Insel at Bamberg. Drunk after a long day in Bamberg so notes are perfunctory at best!
L: Brilliantly clear, light golden yellow, with a bright white, short-lived head. Large-bubbled carbonation
S: Clean malt; mild, floral hops.
T: Sweet, clean, moderately bitter.
M: Full and smooth.
O: A very nice, simple Helles.
Cheers!

(Reviewed from notes while in Germany 5-4-08) This brew has a burnt orange color, 1 in white head. The smell was of floral hops, with some caramel in the background. The taste is of hops with light carbonation, good balance, but there was a rough finish. Decent beer, but had better on the trip.

.5L brown bottle with a freshness date.
Sturdy frothing from a semi-hard pour, right to the top and all the way down with white rings of lace. Pale and brilliantly clear golden color.
Smells of red grape skin, fresh cut grass and delicate wild flowers.
Flexed crispness opens up the moderate dry body. Lots of malt to go around with hints of dried hay, animal feed, light biscuity and a doughy husk in the back. Hop bitterness comes in with a single ray of sharp bitterness which unfolds to let a thin blanket of herbal flavor drape over the taste buds. Clean in the dry finish with some lingering grain and light hops flavor.
Yet another German beer that was worth the trip ...
