This noble bock beer was brewed stronger in honour of Saint Josef, patron Saint of the brewers. Wonderful honey and caramel notes as well as strong malt flavours give the Josefibock a special taste experience during Lent.

330ml bottle, pilsner glass, best by 1/7/23.
The head is towering on top of this dark caramel colored beverage. Truly massive and it laced like crazy!
Toasted dark bread, light caramel, even a little nutty. As it warms I get a hint of hop leaf.
It’s like a rich caramel, lightly sweet and rounded out with a nutty, soft bitterness.
Toward light bodied with medium carbonation.
Though the Bock style on here says up to 7.6% ABV, this really seems like a Doppelbock at 7.5 and with Lent in the brewery’s description, despite the brewery leaving Doppelbock out of the description.

From the .33 l bottle, it pours a clear dark amber color with a modest off-white head that slowly reduces and leaves lacing. The nose gets a good bit of malt, with notes of caramel. The mouth gets the same, with an ever so slight aftertaste.
