Had first on tap at brewery tap room - delicious - so bought a couple 12 ounce cans.
Pours an essentially clear reddish brown to dark amber with thin half finger of khaki to tan coloured head.
Nose is malty - a touch of caramel but more grainy and toasty - bread crust with earthy and nutty notes and a spicy hop aroma.
Sweet and toasty malt on the palate, grainy and a bit earthy with a distinct spicy and herbal hop bitterness; again a bit nutty.
Medium mouthfeel with relatively brisk carbonation and a lingering nutty and spicy bittersweetness.
