L: Pours a dark chocolate, forming a thin khaki head that is quick to fade. A nice ring of lacing coalesces on the edge of the snifter, with a swirl of bubbling retention on the surface. Held to the light, a near-black dark umber/brown. Opaque and thick.
S: Bourbon and rye barrel. Roasted malt, baker's chocolate, char, and a healthy dose of graham cracker.
T: Bourbon, oak barrel. Some dark fruit, caramel, and charred malt. Vanilla, light spice. Finishes boozy with a touch of heat.
F: Full-bodied. Thick, silky, oily mouthfeel. Heavier on the tongue. Very light carbonation.
O: Well-hidden ABV. Supremely drinkable, good flavor. Very bourbon-forward.
