Poured from a 12 oz. can into one of my weizen glasses, this beer pours a cloudy/hazy medium golden color with a very large white head that’s well over an inch thick when poured. The head makes a sizzling sound, like soda pop does when poured out a freshly opened can or bottle into the glass. Head quickly settles to a thick ring lining the inside of the glass along with a slight hint of surface foam. Aromas of some lightly toasted, bready malts and wheat along with some slight hints of banana and clove. The taste is pretty much the same, with flavors of lightly toasted, bready malts and wheat along with some slight hints of banana and clove. Not a bad tasting beer at all, but the banana and clove notes fall short for what a beer of this style should have of these taste wise. They need to be stronger, and I feel like I really had to have my palate actively search for these here to find them being only lightly present here. This drinks more like an American Wheat Ale than a Hefeweizen. Has a crisp, smooth, somewhat frothy, slightly creamy, light to medium bodied mouthfeel with light to moderate carbonation. Has a clean finish. Not bad, but just not quite to the style I feel. A refreshing beer on this very warm late May here in Cleveland, but the flavor profile just falls short here for me.

I tried a can of this beer at Prohibition Gastropub in downtown Powell, Ohio. It poured a slightly hazy golden with white head that left some lace. The scent had subtle wheat, banana and clove notes. The taste was nicely balanced and easy to drink with subtle banana notes....I did not get much clove. The mouthfeel was lighter in body with good carbonation. Overall it is a good beer.
