Canned on 1/13/22. 12oz can poured into a tulip.

Pours a murky and hazy golden; small white head that fades leaving okay retention and nice lacing.

The aromas have a decent amount of tropical fruits. Some floral notes. Malts are there.

The flavors have more tropical notes leading the way. Apricot, peach, and pineapple leading the way along with a nice amount of orange. More floral notes. Some damp grass. Slightly syrupy. Nice hop flavors. Moderate to low bitterness. Subtle sweetness. Solid malt backbone. Finishes juicy. Alcohol is well hidden.

Mouthfeel is full-bodied with moderate carbonation. It's slick and smooth.

This is a great "Hazy DIPA". Really nice hop flavors. They did a really nice job with this. Well done.

I'm happy to review my first Heart State Brewing product, a big, hazy IPA. I love the sentiment on the side of the can, "9/10 people will mansplain to you why this is the best style." There are so many great brews in this style because it is a great style. There, I did it.

II pours, not very hazy. It still fits the category, it just isn't so darn hazy like these can be. The aroma is nice and hops skunky. The taste is pretty dry and bitter, especially considering the ABV. The thick and boozy mouthfeel leave a heavy aftertaste.

Recommended. I look forward to trying more Heart State products.
