16oz can poured into a tulip.
Pours black; nice creamy khaki head that falls very slowly leaving great thick retention and sticky frothy lacing.
The aromas are sweet and malt forward. Hints of maple, vanilla and cocoa.
The flavors are obviously very sweet. More maple leading the way. Some chocolate along with some vanilla cream and vanilla frosting. Lactose definitely comes through. Moderate bitterness. Strong malt backbone. Mild warmth in the finish.
Mouthfeel is full-bodied with moderate carbonation. It's extremely fluffy and smooth.
This is a solid milk stout. It's extremely sweet, but it's supposed to be. It's bold and rich. If you like really sweet stouts then you should appreciate this one. I think that I like this one the most out of the 4pk.

16 ounce can, no dating that I noticed on the can or label. Purchased at the brewery last week. Served in a snifter, the beer pours dark brown/black with about an inch and a half tan head that stuck around a while. There's also a lot of lacing. The brew smells like roasted malt, walnuts, vanilla, caramel and some coffee. For the most part I think the taste follows the aroma, but there's also some dark bread and earthy flavors noticeable. Mouthfeel/body is medium/full, it's coating and a bit creamy with a good amount of carbonation. Easy enough to drink, doesn't seem like it's 11.5%. I liked this one a lot, it's my favorite of their recent Double Sweet brews that I've tried. Definitely worth picking up!
