16oz can poured into a tulip.
Pours almost black; creamy khaki head that fades leaving nice retention and decent lacing. Some sediment noticeable on the final pour coming from the bottom.
The aromas are malt forward along with some chocolate. The coconut is mild and almost goes unnoticed in the aroma department.
The flavors are borderline cloyingly sweet. It's really pushing it with the over the top sweetness, but it ultimately works. It's also supposed to be on the sweeter side. Lots of chocolate, especially milk chocolate and chocolate syrup. The coconut comes through in the flavor department. Vanilla and lactose is there. There's a subtle bitterness attempting to cut through the sweetness. Strong malt backbone. Subtle warmth in the finish, but it's not hot or boozy.
Mouthfeel is full-bodied with moderate carbonation. It's fluffy, sticky and smooth.
This is a decent brew, but it's a little rough around the edges. I can see this being a polarizing beer. If you like super sweet beers then you should really like this. This is basically the epitome of a "dessert beer".

Coconut and sweet are two things that work in a stout. I know this from much experience.
This one pours a fairly flat black. The aroma is a dirty stench - strong and nasty. The taste is over the top sweet. The coconut barely cuts into the heavy malt sweetness. Roastiness is way under all that sweetness as well. The finish is pretty heavy on the tongue, as one would expect.
Recommended, but I do not recommend drinking two. I wouldn't.

16 ounce can, no dating that I noticed on the can or label. Purchased at the brewery last week. Served in a snifter, the beer pours dark brown/black with about an inch tan head. Head retention and lacing are both good. The brew smells like roasted malt, vanilla, chocolate and some coconut. I think the taste is similar to the aroma, but with the addition of some dark bready flavors. Coconut has more of a kick compared to the aroma but doesn't overpower the other flavors. Mouthfeel/body is medium/full, it's slick and a bit creamy with a moderate amount of carbonation. I liked this brew, but was kinda hoping the coconut flavor would have been stronger than it was. Minor complaint though, it's still a good milk stout!
