Pours a dense and cloudy, creamy-looking, yet dark-hued orange color with a thin finger of off-white head. Settles into a bubbly wisp and leaves sloppy lacing.
Big aroma of orange, chewy candies, cream, pineapple, strawberry and tropical flowers. Smells fantastic.
Strange grassy bitterness throughout in the taste, clashing with the tropical fruit flavors that carry over from the aroma. Maybe a hint of lime in there as well.
A little more heft than usual for a single IPA. Light creamy with tight carbonation.
The tropical flavors in this are great. The grassiness doesn’t complement it at first, but I did get used to it over the course of the pint. Overall very solid as it stands; with a tweak could be world class.
