Copenhagen 5/4 2024. 33 cl tall slim can from Kihoskh, Sønder Boulevard, Kbh. V. Brownish can with the name of beer and brewery in white letters.
Pours opaque dark brown with a minuscule beige head. Settles as thin rim of foam running along the side of the glass. No lacing.
Aroma is intense with a sweet, malty, dark odor mingling with a sharp odor of Scotch. Dark lightly roasted malts, brown sugar and toffee. Sweet alcohol. Sharp edge of whisky.
Light carbonation. Rather thick, oily, soft, a bit viscous yet lightly tingling texture.
Flavor is intense with a strong sweetness followed by a moderately strong bitterness. Aftertaste is sugary sweet with a notable boozy undetone. Lingering. Finish is Sherry galore.
A visit to the Barrels have made this Plain Dark Beer even less plain.

Very very dark black, no head, only a few bubbles, the darkest I've ever seen. Smell is very potent, whiskey, molasses, burnt wood. Taste is the same, with a strong whiskey taste, not as burned as it smells so that's nice. Feel is nice and rich, and quite dry, making the bitterness come through more. Good potent stout, barrel is very apparent. Very roasty
