Our take on the classic German Spring Beer. Brewed with East Lothian malt and lightly hopped with Calista. A perfect beer to bridge the gap between winter and summer!

Poured from 500mL can into my Bierwerk Züri becher. Best by 10/20/26.
Appearance: pale golden hue with a little shimmer of haze and a thick head of frothy ivory foam.
Smell: not too sweet, with a pronounced graininess. There's a little astringency here, but it's not too bad, plus some light and grassy hops.
Taste: the flavor has a little more sweetness to the malt which counters the grainy astringency a bit. The hops are kind of noble and grassy, with a rather bitter bite, like a keller pils. Unfortunately I think the sweetness balance just isn't quite to my taste -- it needs to be either a little sweeter or a little less grainy.
Mouthfeel: medium body with a decent carbonation and creaminess.
Overall: it's not a bad beer, but it lacks the "softness" I feel like a lot of "spring beer"/kellerbier tends to have. It's just a little ... bitey for my taste.
