From a 16oz can, undated. Purchased at the brewery 09/12/21. Served in a willi becher pub glass.
Pours a honey-caramel colour with a scant half finger of soft suds. Retention is unremarkable, leaving a meager fizzy collar and a few odd dots of slippery lacing.
Nose is faint but vaguely sweet and malty. Honey is the colour and honey is in the aroma.
Taste is in line with (what I could smell of) the nose. Sweet and malty, doughy, but with a pronounced character of tea with honey. The back end brings white pepper, mildly spicy, doughy rye and a tongue-scraping tannic quality.
Feel is soft and doughy, medium-hefty bodied and lightly carbonated. A nice dry tannic finish but still a little limp in the glass and a bit of a slog on toward the bottom.
Overall, pretty much OK but unlikely to revisit this one. Not to be overly pedantic but, entered into the database as an American Blonde, I probably would have pegged it as an English Pale Mild - but, tbf, I think the brewer recycles names and jiggers the styles.

Poured from a 16 oz can purchased at the brewery, no date provided.
A - Dark straw color, excellent clarity, gentle carbonation, An initial white froth quickly subsides, the carbonation continues to feed a resilient thin lace on top.
S - Earthy grains, a hint of pepper, Earl Grey, lemon drop, all in the mix, within a tight band.
T - Solid malt base, rye adds a bit of spice, again a nice Earl Grey thread, light citrus, orange peel, and earthy hops are a solid component.
M - Bristly and bright on the palate, medium in body, pub style carbonation. Smooth with a nice dry finish, displaying the slightest bitter, citrus thread.
O - A very good Blonde ale, I really appreciate the earthy/citrus expression. The grains add a welcome spicy aspect. Well executed and quite the treat to drink
