Our American Porter brewed with Midwest-grown malted barley and English caramel and chocolate malts. It is dark, rich, and comforting.

Pitch black. Big roasted malt aroma and flavor with lots of chocolate and cocoa character; rich and robust. Nice balance with light sweetness. Medium bodied with a dry roasty finish.

This one pours a fairly dark black color, with a small head, and lots of lacing.
This smells chocolatey and roasty, with a touch of sweetness.
This tastes wonderfully chocolatey and creamy, but not too sweet, with some roast and some herbal bitterness.
This is medium bodied, not too thick, not too thin, pretty much just right. It’s quite creamy and quite drinkable.
This is just a solid regular, down the middle porter, exactly what you think of when you think of the style.

16oz can from Tavour. Dark, ruddy brown pour, beige head which recedes to thin ring. Aroma features a nice blend of roast malts and chocolate. Taste follows with some sweet chocolate flavors right up front, light toasty bitterness behind. Some bitterness lingers. Tasty little number!

Poured into a Fremont small snifter. Pours a very dark mahogany brown, appearing nearly opaque in the glass with a half finger milk chocolate head with great retention and nice lacing. Aroma of dark toasted malt, lactose, cocoa, faint nuts and vanilla; inviting. Flavor is dark toasted malt with coffee char, coffee, cocoa and faint light stone fruit hints in the background. Nice charry finish with residual lactose. Medium bodied with moderate creaminess. I seem to be out fo step on this one, but I really like it quite a bit. Maybe the recipe has been changed or I just got a stellar can.The look is great with a head that looks like a nitro pour. The aroma is rich with milky chocolate and does not reveal the charry malt in the flavor. That smokiness and coffee char was appealing to me and lingered into the finish. A rich porter that verges into milk stout territory. Really hits well on all review parameters. I'd get this regularly if it was in the area. Glad I got to try it. Nicely done.
