Poured from a bottle into a chalice
Appearance – The beer pours a clear golden straw color with a puffy head of white foam. The head fades slowly, leaving just a trace of lace on the sides of the glass.
Smell – The aroma is strong of a yeast and cracker malt smell mixed with aromas of white pepper and grass. A little bit of orange and must, and a touch of apricot and pear are there as well, along with notes of clove and coriander.
Taste – The taste begins with a cracker and bready malt flavor mixed with a good showing of clove and coriander. Along with these comes a strong yeastiness and some light apricot and white grape flavors. The sweetness that was present upfront fades as the taste advances, and with some light notes of hay and must, one is left with a flavorful and easy-going taste to linger on the tongue.
Mouthfeel - The body of the brew is light with a carbonation level that is higher and effervescent. Both are good for the style and the tastes making for an easy drinker.
Overall – A rather nice session style Belgium. Very easy drinking.
