This strong golden ale balances notes of orange peel and pepper along with distinct flavors of malt and oak from its time in Finger Lakes Distilling bourbon barrels. The lingering dry finish has a refined hop bitterness. Pair with robust cheeses, creamy sauces and grilled or smoked meats.

Pouring a 500 ml bottle into my snifter. Picked up at the brewery this past summer in July. The bottle has been in my cellar since I brought it home.
The beer pours a clear copper hue with a fluffy bleached white head of over 3 cm. THis foam remains as a sturdy surface layer throughout the sampling. Several active streams of carbonation also rise to the surface. The foam leaves some dense lattice on my glass after each sip.
Aroma on this beer is fruity, with some peach and white grapes mixing with a bit of sweet bourbon mixing together. I dont get any hop character here and the booze is also well hidden.
First sip reveals a light to medium body with very fine tingly carbonation. Flavor is also malt driven with some white grapes and sweet fruit, some sweet bourbon kicks in on the finish and a little bit of peppery booze hits on the finish.
Not really any warmth on the finish, which is also fairly dry. Pretty nice and tasty beer.
