It's black (duh). Brown around the edges. The aroma is faintly smoky with a little nuttiness. The smoke comes out quite clearly up front with a little grainsiness. I'm a little (pleasantly) surprised by the full body and rich maltiness throught the middle. There's a little coffee and smoke in the hoppy bitter finish. It's quite grassy. Fairly strong American hop presence. Good. Full.
