Looks rather dark brown with just a 1/2 inch of foam that settles to a mild ring. Smells rather sweet mollases and brown sugar meets wood and hops. Taste is much more Bourbon smooth and Woody with a good sweet sugar base. Balanced and smooth body I believe it might be the best beer I had all night like a more ballanced Duclaw Hell on Wood

Poured into a tulip at the brewery
A: Mahogany colored with a thin head
S: Honey, burnt sugar, a bit of whiskey
T: Matches with caramel/molasses taking the place of burnt sugar
M: Full-bodied, the alcohol is well-hidden, slightly sweet
O: The mead is a nice addition to the barleywine base. Pairs well with their bread pudding
